Here’s the New Design for 863 North Orleans

Earlier this week we told you about how the office building planned for 863 North Orleans Street has increased in height from six to 13 stories, bringing even more badly needed offices to a largely residential area north of the Chicago River.

The brains behind the design, Piekarz Associates, took note of the story and sent over these renderings of the revised building so that everyone can get a look at what’s coming.

Strictly speaking, the new design isn’t much different than the previous edition but the extra heigh allows P.A. to elongate and exaggerate the facade’s extrusion so that you can really see that there are angles happening here, not just vertical channels.
