Art Versus Cars

This would have been a great artsy photograph.  It has lots of color, repeating patterns, textures, and the wonderful inset of a small arched door inside a larger arched door.

Unfortunately, the parked cars ruin it.

This is the back stage door at the Briar Street Theater (3133 North Halsted Street) in Lakeview.  You may know it better as the place where the Blue Man Group seems perpetually to perform.  But it started outas a stable for the horses that pulled the Marshall Field’s delivery wagons all over the city.

You might think that I could  just wait for the cars to move.  But have you ever tried to park in this neighborhood?  As soon as one person moves out, a vulture swoops in.  I wouldn’t stand a chance.
