Briefly: A Bronze Treasure, and Lots Going Up

  • The Sun-Times reports that there may be new life for the historic Rosenwald Apartments (4600 South Michigan Avenue) in Bronzeville.
  • Amli has broken ground on its huge new residential tower in River North.
  • Work has begun on a group of three hotels at Clark Street, Grand Avenue, Dearborn Street, and Illinois Street.
  • Work has begun on The Gateway just off  South Halsted Street in Greektown.
  • Work has begun on K2, the skyscraper formerly known as 365 North Haslted, and part of the K Station complex.
  • Kinzie Street will be widened and angled parking added between Des Plaines Street and Ogden Avenue.
