Briefly: Another Giant Walgreens, Pier Pressure, Rails+Trails

  • Following the success of its 40 Wall Street store in New York, Walgreens keeps building giant stores around the country, including a couple in Chicago.  Racked has the goods on the new giant Walgreens going in to the former Borders space at the corner of Broadway and Diversey in Lakeview (2817 North Clark Street).
  • The latest redesign plan for Navy Pier is inching forward.  We’ve lost track of the number of Nacvy Pier redesign schemes that have been floated over the years.  You can read about the trimming of designer candidates at the Tribune.
