The 17th Church of Christ, Scientist (55 East Wacker Drive) is an unusual looking building from the outside. But once you go inside, you can see that the form follows the function.
Below is a gallery showing the interior of the sanctuary, which looks much like an auditorium. Interestingly, each seat is equipped with a microphone because worshipers are expected to speak.
Another interesting point is that when you go through the main entrance on Wacker Drive, you’re actually entering the third floor of the building. There are two subterranean levels, one which consists of a child care center, and the other storage and loading dock facilities.
