Construction Update
Loop Target/CityTarget

CityTarget under construction at the Sullivan Center

One of our Loop spies e-mailed us pictures last night of progress on the new CityTarget at the Sullivan Center (33 South State Street).  The downtown outlet of big box retailer Target will be the opposite of the downtown outlet of big box retailer Wal-Mart, which focuses almost entirely on food at its Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market at Presidential Towers (555 West Madison Street).  Instead, CityTarget will carry mostly a selection of non-food best sellers from its full-sized stores, though it will have a Pret a Manger inside.

CityTarget opens July 29th, 2012.  For a metric buttload of information about it, check out the article we published this past February: Loop Target: July 29, 2012.
