The Coast continues to rise at 345 East Wacker Drive, on the edge of the Lakeshore East development. Now that it’s mostly put together, it turns out to be quite a nice looking building. BKL Architecture promised us balconies that weren’t distracting the way balconies so often are, and it looks like mission accomplished. And the glassy skin on the east and west facades does a nice job of remaining light, airy, and even complementing the Swissôtel next door (323 East Wacker Drive). Topping out is expected any day now. The first residents are expected to move in by February, 2013.
