If you’re looking for the best Christmas trees in Chicago, check out the city’s hotels.  Pretty much every big hotel goes all out with its Christmas tree, usually front and center in the lobby.  You could even make a tour of it, checking out all of the trees in each of the hotels along Michigan Avenue, for example.  Checking out the lobby trees is free, and when you’re ready for a cup of something hot, there’s usually a bar or cafe just steps away from the tree.

Above is the tree at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers (301 East North Water Street)  in Streeterville.  Below is the one in the Drake Hotel (140 East Walton Place) in the Gold Coast.
