Your OHC Photos: The View From DIRTT

The red brick building across Wells Street from the Merchandise Mart started out as a coffee warehouse.  More recently, it was the headquarters of a shampoo company.  Now it’s the home of DIRTT, which offers “solutions for sustainable interior construction and ideas about how to build better”

During the 2013 Open House Chicago event put on by the Chicago Architecture Foundation, people were allowed onto the top of the 1914 building at 325 North Wells Street to see the 1985 penthouse and take in the views of the river.

Blog reader Nancy K. was among those who took advantage of the opportunity, and she shared these photos with us.
