Reminder: This Is Why We Live Here

Chicago sunrise

It’s been a brutal winter.  Things haven’t been this bad since gas was 60¢ a gallon.  Even WGN-TV had a report on the news last night about how to keep on keeping on without putting a bullet in your brain.

Then this morning there was a great sunrise. Because I’m a cat owner, I get to involuntarily see every sunrise, and this was the first nice one we’ve had in months.  Apparently, you agree because Loop Spy Daniel snapped a couple of pictures of it and sent it in.

So, even when we’ve only had one day above freezing since Christmas, even when there’s yet another six inches of snow in the forecast, even though we just survived Polar Vortex 2: Electric Boogaloo and are ramping up for next Friday’s Polar Vortex III: Revenge of the Sith, there are still reminders around town of why we love Chicago, and will wait patiently in our glass and steel bunkers until Old Man Winter retreats.

  1. Hi all Chicagoans & members,

If I prefere the quiet weather from France (even up to 32°F the night)

I envy you because you can take some nice photos (isn’t it Loop Spy Daniel ?)

So do not hesitate to cool your body just to feast our eyes…

In return I’ll send to you my éternal gratitude and some heat from here for your morale.

In fact I hope a better weather for you & all other states.

Allways sorry for my broken english ;-)

    Martial
