Construction Update
Madison Maisons Moving Along

Madison and Racine under construction

It’s been about ten months since the ceremonial groundbreaking was held for Madison & Racine, the six-story residential building going up—believe it or not—at the corner of Madison and Racine.

West Town Spy Adam sent in these pictures taken recently, showing how far the FitzGerald Associates-designed building has come along.  From the photos, it certainly does appear to have quite a presence in the growing neighborhood, and fills in an important gap in the Madison Street corridor.

This article is the result of photos sent in by someone just like you. If you see something interesting in your neighborhood, e-mail your phone pics to chicagoarchitectureinfo@gmail.com.  Check out our Tip Line for ways to tip us off by text message and anonymous drop box.

  1. I was on my bike ride yesterday and rode past it and this location looks great.
    Very impressive and good looking.
I always think to myself “why all the fuss” early on from NIMBY and I wish it was taller.
If Lincoln Park NIMBY don’t want development, taxes, growth and excitement…..take your project to the west side.
Plenty of room and these areas are starting to look great.
