Construction Update
Rehabilitating Streeterville’s Skyline

Ability Institute of the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago under construction

Recent construction progress at the Ability Institute of the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago.

The Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago’s new Ability Institute building (355 East Erie Street) continues to climb skyward.

The latest update from R.I.C. is that concrete work for the second floor of the building is about finished, and the main focus of the work remains on the core of the building and its parking garage.  The core is up to about the fifth floor.  A hoist will soon be installed on the south side of the building

When completed, the building will rise 445 feet into the air.  The Institute hopes to have it open in 2017.
