This Independence Day weekend, there were parades, cookouts, and flags all over Chicagoland.  Our own Bill Motchan snapped this picture of the Arkadia Tower in Greektown putting on its patriotic colors.

Arkadia (765 West Adams Street) will eventually be a 33-story apartment skyscraper when it is completed next year.  Its design, by Chicago’s FitzGerald Associates, has several Greek nods in it, in deference to its location.   It is one of a series of residential towers going up in the immediate area bordering the Kennedy Expressway.
