1000 South Clark

1000 South Clark under construction

The land is clear, and foundation work has begun on the South Loop’s latest residential block.  1000 South Clark will be a 29-story, 469-unit apartment building designed by Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture.

Developer JDL Development describes it this way:

In partnership with iStar financial, JDL is creating 1000 South Clark, which will be the most progressive building in the South Loop sub-market and will raise the bar of refined living in Chicago with unparalleled amenities and service. 1000 South Clark’s progressive architecture will provide residents with unobstructed views of downtown Chicago and Lake Michigan. Taking advantage of its large land site, 1000 South Clark offers resort style living, featuring five unique residential lounges, with an indoor pool, basketball court, racquetball court, 7,000 square foot spa and fitness center. Hit golf balls in the middle of Chicago’s winter or relax on the magnificent landscaped sundeck in the summer. Take a yoga class, have a bbq or visit with friends and neighbors around one of the outdoor fire pits. 1000 South Clark offers it all, including BARK on Clark doggy day care. Even your dog will live at the highest level of comfort.
