The first of three skyscrapers to be built at Wolf Point is growing by leaps and bounds. Our Daniel Schell shot these pictures of the construction progress of Wolf Point West, the residential tower going up at the confluence of the Main and North branches of the Chicago River.
Wolf Point West is being developed by Magellan Development and was designed by friends-of-the-blog, bKL Architecture. When it opens next year, it will have 509 apartments and stand 48-stories tall. It will also sport a $160 million price tag.
Once Wolf Point West is done, phase two can begin. That is the South Tower, designed by Connecticut’s Pelli Clarke Pelli. It will be the tallest of the three Wolf towers at 950 feet, and be the eighth tallest building in Chicago.
