The Blue Cross Blue Shield Tower at 300 E. Randolph is a Chicago landmark not just for its distinctive exterior but also because of the building’s lights. Every year the company creates dozens of lighting displays to promote wellness and other messages.
A computerized lighting program creates the display, along with some manual assistance (closing certain blinds to accentuate the effect). This week, the Blue Cross lights offer a tribute to the late Cubs star, Ernie Banks.
