It’s been almost exactly a year since we checked in on 1000 South Clark, and my how things have changed.
Back in the dog days of 2014, JDL‘s 1000 South Clark was just a patch of mud on the ground and the whiff of diesel exhaust in the air. The Chicago Architecture Blog’s Daniel Schell ambled by recently, and look at it — all grown up, and quite nearly topped out. The 29-story, 469-unit apartment building designed by Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture was originally expected to start welcoming residents before the end of this year, but that’s been pushed back to “early 2016.”
Until then, enjoy Mr. Schell’s construction photos below and the renderings, as well. For more information about what it might be like to live there, check out the YoChicago page about it.
