Major Renovations Planned For The Clare

Residents of Gold Coast high-rise retirement tower The Clare (55 East Pearson Street) will be seeing substantial upgrades by this fall. The 53-story continuing care retirement community will upgrade amenities and renovate common areas.

The changes come as The Clare is experiencing an increased demand from prospective tenants.

There will be a new outdoor seating area on the 9th floor, with a view of the building’s garden and the Chicago skyline.

Up on the top floor, the upgrades will take full advantage of the view overlooking the lakefront. The grub available to match the panoramic view will be way fancier than stewed prunes. Hagop Hagopian, the Clare’s executive chef, will have a new kitchen to wow the residents. Gourmet food and fine wines will be featured.

“Our goal has always been to listen to the needs of The Clare’s occupants and many of our renovations incorporate suggestions and ideas from the residents themselves,” says Kyle Exline, executive director.

Renovations will continue in stages through the end of 2015 and early next year.
