4 East Elm, the luxury condo tower from Chicago’s own Convexity Properties, has topped out at, you guessed it, 4 East Elm Street. Kelly over at @properties, the firm providing marketing and sales support for the project, sent a note letting us know things are moving along as planned.
The LEED-certified 24-story Gold Coast building by friends-of-the-blog Solomon Cordwell Buenz will have just 35 condominiums, but don’t think fewer units per floor means fewer amenities per resident. Among the prized accouterments within 4 East Elm will be a residents’ lounge with full kitchen, a fitness center, a movie-screening room, plus a landscaped sundeck with a spa and outdoor pool. The half-floor units offer between 3,095 and 3,516 square feet, and range in price from $2.1 million to $4.1 million. Availability is expected in the first quarter of 2016.
The first new high-rise condo project to be built in the Gold Coast since 2010, 4 East Elm will include 4,950 square feet of parking, and 5,400 square feet of ground-level retail space. We stopped by to see the progress Leopardo Construction has made, and to marvel at the sparkling glass that’s made its way about halfway up the tower.
