Architecture Films Now Running in Chicago

If you like architecture, you’ve come to the right web site.  If you like architecture and movies, then you should head over to the 51st annual Chicago International Film Festival, which starts today and runs for two weeks.  That’s because this year’s festival spotlight is “Architecture + Space + Design.”

It looks like there are a number of very interesting locally-themed architecture films on offer.  We’re particularly intrigued by Modern Metropolis: Mid-Century Chicago on Film, and Helmut Jahn: An Architect’s Life, which includes Mr. Jahn, himself, discussing his work.

While some of the movies require tickets in advance, there’s a good selection of things to see for free, so you have no excuse not to go to at least one.

More information on the spotlight series here.
