Last week, The Chicago Architecture Blog was at the groundbreaking ceremony for Niche 905 (905 North Orleans Street) in the Cabrini Green neighborhood.
Six days later, on the 25th of November, to be precise, the City of Chicago issued a building permit for caisson foundation work and the parking deck that goes through the fourth floor. And wouldn’t you know it, Revcon equipment is already on site, ready to turn that broken ground into holey ground for developer Ascend Real Estate Group.
Quickly, this will be an 18-story rental tower designed by FitzGerald Associates, with 202 units (though the permit says 208) and 152 parking spaces (149 sayeth the permit.) For full specs, here’s one more link to last week’s post. And some pictures of foundation-buildin’ toys for those of you tired of reading words.
