New Hubbard Street Hotel’s Coming-Out Party Next Week

Two months ago we first told you about plans for a new hotel at 430 North LaSalle Street, on the edge of the Near North nightlife district.  Now that hotel is going to have a coming-out party.

42nd Ward Alderman Brendan Reilly sent out the news to his constituents on Friday afternoon, stating that PG Development will present its plans to the public on Monday, June 20th.

Reilly lists the hotel as 18 stories with 199 rooms, just as we described back in April.  He adds that there will also be 6,000 square feet of retail space at the base — a detail we lacked.

The meeting will be at the Holiday Inn Chicago Mart Plaza at Wolf Point at 6:00pm.  Even if you’re not interested in the hotel, it’s a good opportunity to get up high and take pictures out of the Holiday Inn’s windows, which used to have epic views before Wolf Point West went up.  We haven’t had a chance to see what views remain since then.
