That proposal for a 17-story residential building on Belmont between Broadway and Lake Shore Drive that we told you about is another step closer to reality.
The tower, designed by Antunovich Associates, at 450 West Belmont Avenue got its papers franked by the Chicago Plan Commission yesterday. That means the developers can move forward with their plan for a new building with 80 residences and 48 parking spaces. It’ll be 179 feet tall.
The plan the city approved is actually ever-so-slightly smaller than the one the developer originally applied for. That was for 90 residences and 50 parking spaces.
