The sale of a vintage Loop office building could mean more apartments for downtown Chicago, speculates Crain’s Chicago Business.

The paper reports that a unit of Marc Realty Capital recently paid more than $10 million for 330 South Wells Street, also known as the Insurance Center Building. It’s on the northwest corner of Wells and West Van Buren Street.

No one from Marc Realty would talk to Crain’s about it, but it’s a logical step and wouldn’t be the first recent conversion of a vintage office building to residences, student or otherwise, this year.
