The recent warm weather reminds us that pretty soon everything from tulips to turtles across Chicago will soon be peeking out of their winter hibernation and stretching toward the sun.
Not waiting for an invitation is No. 9 Walton, the über-swish condo block that will soon function as Astor Street-in-the-sky. Joe Zekas from YoChicago! sent in these photos of ol’ 9 peeking out from behind the 39-story Walton on the Park.
Number 9 will have two fewer floors than its older brother, but will stand head and shoulders above its sibling. In fact, the Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture-designed building’s shoulders/setback will be right about level with the roof of Walton on the Park, but still have at least ten more stories to climb.
