Much has been written over the last couple of years about Solstice on the Park in Hyde Park. As the 26-story tower enters the home stretch toward completion, we’re getting a very good look at the building from Joe Zekas at YoChicago!.
Mr. Zekas turned his very expensive camera gear on the residential block designed by Noble Square’s Studio Gang. The building at 1616 East 56th Street has been getting so much press in part because of its starchitect pedigree, and also because of the way it very deliberately harnesses the angles of the sun to supplement heating in the winter and cooling in the summer.
As an added bonus, Antheus Capital’s new building currently has epic views of Jackson Park and the Museum of Science and Industry. In the future, it will also sport epic views of the Barack Obama Presidential Center down the street.
Enjoy the photos of both the inside and outside.
