One Bennett Park Peeks in on Grant Park

You’d expect a building with the statue of One Bennett Park (451 East Grand Avenue) to offer incredible views.  Now we can see just how incredible.

In the photograph above of the construction of the 836-foot-tall One Bennett Park, taken from One Grant Park by Joe Zekas of YoChicago!, we can see a huge portion of the tower rising above Streeterville and Lakeshore East, gazing upon Grant Park.

We also see that the amazing view will be moderated by what those cranes in the foreground are working on — the 1,100-foot-tall Vista Tower (363 East Wacker Drive).

Fortunately, the two aren’t lined up with each other.  Vita is a little west of the lake, Bennett nearly hugs Lake Shore Drive.    But together, and along with the Legacy, Heritage, Aon Center, Essex on the Park, and Columbian, they are going to be on one heck of a spectacle for people enjoying Chicago’s front lawn this summer.

  1. Always love your comments. However, let’s not shorten our buildings any more than the city already has in some cases. Example 1000m. Vista is almost 1200 feet.
