The second sister of Wolf Point is starting to look like a thing. The photos above and below, sent in by River North Spy Chris, show the residential tower is just about ready to rise above street level.
Wolf Point West, designed by The Loop’s bKL Architecture, opened about 18 months ago. It was the first building on a plot of land that has been flirting with development since the Nixon administration. The west tower brought 509 apartments in a 48-story tower.
Wolf Point East, designed by Connecticut’s Pelli Clarke Pelli, will have 698 apartments in a 60-story tower.
Wolf Point South will be the tallest of the three. Its design isn’t set in stone yet, but is expected to have 70 floors and rise 950 feet into the sky, right on the edge of the Chicago River.
