Word on the street is that the South Loop has a new high-rise. Loop Spy Jody sent in the photo below showing that construction crews are working on the penthouse and rooftop decks at Alta Grand Central (207 West Harrison Street). You can also see that most of the lower half has gotten its windows in.

AGC (its friends call it AGC) is two 14-story residential towers on the corner of Harrison and Wells designed by Pappageorge Haymes for D2 and Wood Partners. It’s just four blocks south of Willis Tower, and rubs elbows with LendLease’s SouthBank complex. When complete, it will add 346 new residences to the South Loop.
