OHC Photos: Wrigley Building

Small things can beget greatness. Look at the humble stick of chewing gum, which gave us the magnificent Wrigley Building.

Jennifer Mishra of Wits End Photography got a chance to wander around the terra cotta gingerbread castle during the Chicago Architecture Center’s Open House Chicago event, and shared these photographs.

(And if your building’s sidewalk is polka-dotted with black ovals of discarded flavor, this is a problem that can be solved with a putty knife duct taped to a broom handle, and a little elbow grease. Get to it.)

  1. These are super great photos! However, the Wrigley Building wasn’t a site on the list, so she must know someone related to the building. Seems a little disingenuous billing this in relation to OHC. Hopefully this will be a site in the future. I would totally use my fast pass here.
