Aspirational South Loop Apartment Tower Gets Topped Out, Named

The newest residential opportunity to sprout next to a new CTA L station is edging toward completion.  2111 South Wabash topped off recently, and during the surprisingly earmuff-free ceremony (are 180’s not a thing anymore?) it was announced that the building will be called Aspire Residences.

Aspire is an SCB design being built by Power Construction and Ujamaa Construction for Draper and Kramer on the corner of Cermak and Wabash.  It’s a block from the Green Line station, and two from McCormick Place.  If you’re into trains, conventions, or train conventions then this might be the place for you.

When complete this coming summer (that’s summer of 2020 if you get confused at this time of year), the 24-story building will have 275 apartments up top and 88 parking spaces below.
