Frank Lloyd Wright’s Architecture School May Stay Open

The school founded by legendary architect Frank Lloyd Wright may keep its doors open after all.

The Arizona Republic reports that the school, now known as The School of Architecture at Taliesin, has found the money it needs to keep educating future architects.

How long the word “Taliesin” stays in the school’s name remains to be seen.   The school divorced from the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation in 2017. The Foundation runs both Taliesin in Wisconsin, and Taliesin West in Scottsdale.  According to a late January statement from the Foundation, one of the school’s options for survival included moving out.

Another option was to “merge the School back into the Foundation.”  But the Foundation told the newspaper today it hasn’t heard peep one about the school’s new plan.
