Construction Update
While You Were Away: 110 North Wacker Construction Continues

As life in Chicago transitions from a pre-apocalyptic Stephen King novel to a post-apocalyptic Samuel Beckett play, you may notice some things have changed since most everyone went into hiding.

For the most part, the city’s large construction projects moved forward, though sometimes at varying paces.  Among those that have progressed is 110 North Wacker, seen in the photograph above almost buttoned up, and with Wolf Point East in the background.  The nice folks over at YoChicago! slipped that one under our door for you to see.

110 is a Howard Hughes and Riverside Investment and Development project that kicked out the old General Growth building, which was loved by its mother, and not many others.

When it’s complete, the 53-story skyscraper designed by Goettsch Partners will have 1.5 million square feet of office space perched on the Chicago River, and hanging over a portion of the Chicago Riverwalk.
