Construction Update
Cirrus, Cascade Construction Continues

Since nobody except the employees of WBEZ have been to Navy Pier lately, chances are you’re not up to date on the construction progress of Cirrus and Cascade.

Fortunately, the lens crafters at YoChicago! are, and sent in these photographs taken from the roof of North Harbor Tower showing the progress on the two new skyscrapers at Lakeshore East.

We hear that the ‘rona is starting to cause memory problems, so we’ll help you out here.  Cirrus will be a 47-story residential tower.  Cascade will tickle low-flying clouds at 37 stories.  Together, they’ll add another 800 new homes to the corner of river and lake.

They’re both designed by bKL for Magellan Development and Lendlease. Magellan has been transforming this former Loop dogpatch into a residential neighborhood for just a few months longer than we’ve been telling you about it.  A status update on Lakeshore East was the very first article we published a little over 17 years ago.
