Could 210 South Canal B-MO Glassy?

The first glass panels have gone up at the new BMO Tower rising across the street from Union StationWest Loop Spy Sam slipped these photos of the construction into our virtual mailbox, and you can already see that the Goettsh Partners design is going to be a little special.

GP has been glassing up this corner of the world quite a lot lately.  It recently completed both the glassapalooza at 110 North Wacker Drive, and the gogglebox at 150 North Riverside Plaza.

You can see in Sam’s photos that the building will sport vertical bands of glass at slightly opposing angles.  This will allow the building to reflect more light from more angles, and also visually appear to be taller because of the visual verticality.  Well played, Sirs.

When complete, the Convexity and Riverside I&D tower will be 51 stores tall, with 1.5 million square feet of office space.  It replaces an Amtrak parking garage.
