Chicago Standard Time

I’ve seen cities from Vancouver to India claim that they were the places where time zones were invented.  But the truth is that the first nation to divide itself into sections for the purpose of timekeeping was the United States.  And the city where the decision was made was Chicago.  We even have a plaque for it: The Grand Pacific Hotel is long gone, but the Continental Bank Building is now officially the 208 South LaSalle...
